FOR MEN - ADULT PROGRAM

Men's work.

For men ready to go deeper than the surface

Most men were never given a real initiation. No one sat them down and said: here is what it means to be a man, here is your community, here is what we expect of you and what we'll give you in return. That absence has a cost.

Men's Work is a group-based program for men who are ready to do something about it. To look honestly at their story, their patterns, their power, and their purpose — in the company of other men who are doing the same.

This is not a workshop.
It's an initiation.

Men's Work draws on rites of passage traditions, depth psychology, somatic practice, and the irreplaceable power of men in community together. It is structured and held — not a therapy group, not a seminar, not a men's retreat with icebreakers.

01      The map of your story

"Men need other men. Not to compete with, not to perform for — but to be witnessed by, challenged by, and held accountable by."

— Human Rites

Men who engage in regular men's circles and structured group work report significant improvements in mental health, relationship quality, sense of purpose, and emotional regulation. The data is clear. So is the experience of every man who has done this work.

Where did you come from? Who shaped you? What wounds are still running the show? Honest reckoning with your own history.

02      Shadow & gold

The parts of yourself you've hidden — including your power. Reclaiming what has been suppressed, disowned, or never developed.

03      Embodied manhood

Getting out of the head and into the body — somatic practices that reconnect men with their physical wisdom and presence.

04      Brotherhood & accountability

What real male friendship looks like. Honesty without cruelty. Challenge without competition. Care without weakness.

05      Purpose & legacy

What are you here for? What will you leave behind? The questions every man eventually has to face — better to face them now, in good company.

How it works

Men's Work runs as an ongoing men's circle and as intensive retreat experiences. Both are available — and many men begin with a retreat before joining an ongoing circle.

Who comes to Men's Work?

Men at every stage of life — from young men finding their feet to fathers navigating midlife to elders looking to pass something down.

Men who feel stuck

Something is off and you can't name it. You're functional on the outside and hollow on the inside. You're ready to change that.

Men in transition

Relationship change, career shift, becoming a father, loss, divorce, midlife. Transition is initiation — and initiation needs a container.

Men who want more

Life is fine but it should be more than fine. You want depth, purpose, real brotherhood, and the kind of men around you who tell you the truth.

Common questions

Do I need prior experience with men's groups or therapy?

No. Men come with all levels of experience. What matters is willingness — to show up honestly and to engage with the process. Our facilitators hold the group in a way that makes it accessible for beginners and deepening for those who have done prior work.

Is it confidential?

Yes. Confidentiality is a cornerstone of the Men's Work container. What is shared in the circle stays in the circle — always.

Who facilitates?

Human Rites Men's Work is facilitated by experienced men's work practitioners who have completed their own deep initiation work and hold relevant qualifications in facilitation, psychology, and somatic practice.

Where is it held?

Our ongoing circle meets on the Central Coast, NSW. Retreats are held at private properties in nature. Online options are available for some programs.
